Mark that is the dream. I have inquired into the apprentice program and there are not any spot available right now but believe me I have my eyes open. I don't imagine I would be doing too much podcasting from within the Anthony Hay shop though. I wasn't able to make it to the January SAPFM, CWF symposium but it is on my list of to do's.

I love the place too; it is my hometown where I lived from 1952-1978. Back in the day, residents got free passes and I took advantage of it, but did not really pay attention to the woodworking since I was just a kid. I would encourage you to pursue an apprenticeship--you would be a great asset to the Foundation. As you may know, they have special educational symposiums in colonial furniture making and design which I'm sure you would enjoy.

Thanks for visting Virginia. The state needs the money. As a Virginia land surveyor, I have had the pleasure of surveying land in and around the Williamsburg area for nearly 40 years, but I must say that viewing the old homes and amenities that Williamsburg has to offer stills provides my wife and me a lot of enjoyment. Having just started in wood working, I have enjoyed your instructional videos. Kept up the good work.

I try to make it to Williamsburg everytime I visit home (Richmond). I love the area, but admittedly, my favorite part isn't the woodworking, it's the glass shop at Jamestown. I really wish I would have spent more time there before I moved to Texas. I guess you kind of take all of that history for granted until it's not within your reach anymore.

I visited Williamsburg once while I lived in Newport News. Unfortunately, that was before I got into woodworking, so I can only imagine how much better it would have been if I had the interest in those kind of things. I'll have to live vicariously through you until I can make it down there again.
